Question: Where are you located?

Answer: Just outside of the city of Orlando, Florida. We ship next day and second day air all over the U.S.A. with many routine shipments to Hawaii and Alaska.

Question: How do you choose the products you sell?

Answer: We try them! We also review them with physicians from appropriate specialties and customers who are interested in giving us an objective evaluation. In the future we plan to select people from our customer base to write reviews of new products from their perspective.

Question: What if I cannot operate the testing product I buy from you?

Question: Can You Give Me A Brief Overview Of Quality Assured Services, Inc. And The Home Test Medical, Q.A. Point-Of-Care Divisions?

Answer: We are a three year old, distribution company, covering the USA and most of the world. We are dedicated to home medical diagnostic testing and easy to use POC (point-of-care) diagnostics for doctors and health care professionals.

We were founded in 1997 to coincide with the FDA approval for self-testing of the Protime Microcoagulation System, our first product for which we are the sole source U.S. distributor.

Our mission is to help lower healthcare costs, by helping people get more involved in their own care and disease management through self-testing and self-monitoring. We do the same thing in the professional market by assisting professionals in getting more involved in Point-of-Care Testing.

Our staff is comprised of nurses, insurance specialists, product specialists and others dedicated to constant improvement in the level of service we provide.

Our products include ProTime for people on blood thinners, new tests for diabetics, Alzheimer's and OsteoCheck for early bone problem detection, menopause and many others.

We provide and support our products and also offer complete insurance reimbursement services for private insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid.

Question: This Is A Unique Company. How Did You Become Interested In Founding This Type Of Company?

Answer: Having watched the evolution of diabetes self-testing from the start, our founder has always been involved and keenly interested in point-of-care testing. Looking at the dynamic trends in health care today it makes sense for people to get more involved in their own care and disease management. The current trends include managed care, new technology, computer miniaturization and the rise of consumerism in healthcare. We believe there will be a steady flow of new point-of-care products in the future.

Question: Is It True That You Are Working On A Book About Medical Self Testing?

Answer: We contributed a chapter to a book being created at the University of California and to be published by McGraw-Hill. The book is a reference regarding point-of-care for doctors. We are also working on a new book on the subject of home testing which will be published on the web in our newsletter.
