Ever laugh or cry or get mad or get hungry? That's your hormones hard at work. Hormones can affect many vital functions in your body. That's why keeping your hormones in their proper balance is essential to the way you live. For women, FemaleCheck by BodyBalance can help you monitor hormone levels. Here's something you should know: hormones don't just control sexual function and activity. Hormones affect your body physically and emotionally. Estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone have a strong influence over women's health:

. PMS

. Menstrual cycle

. Pregnancy

. Menopause

. Skin elasticity

. Lean body mass

. Muscle and bone development

. Sleep patterns

. Various physical and emotional responses

These are just some of the major areas these three hormones influence. Thus, keeping your hormones in their proper balance is essential to living well.

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU...
FemaleCheck is a safe, easy-to-use, noninvasive, and reliable screen that uses a simple saliva sample to measure your levels of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, which are vital to a woman's hormonal balance. You collect the required saliva sample and send it back to us in the prepaid return mailer provided. Within 7-10 working days of receiving your sample, we'll send your results to you. It's that simple.

When to collect...
To accurately measure your hormone levels, you should always collect saliva at approximately the same time of day-- we suggest first thing in the morning.

In measuring levels of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, we recommend the following sample collection schedule: If you are menstruating normally or even sporadically, please collect saliva on day 20, 21, or 22 after the first day of your last period. (It may be helpful for you to mark the appropriate days on your calendar). If you are skipping periods for months at a time or are post-menopausal, you may collect at any time.

Special Note:
FemaleCheck reports baseline levels of hormones and reference ranges for these levels. These ranges should not be used when hormone replacement therapy is in progress or if you are using birth control pills or other medications affecting hormone levels.
